This World Wide Web Page contains information on how to access indexes
for all convicts who were transported to Australia between 1788 and 1868.
You should be aware that it is highly unlikely that in tracing what may have
happened to any individual convict, that you will be able to find information
on all the events in his or her penal servitude, as there are gaps in the
records especially with assignment records, tickets of leave, and certificates
of freedom.

and partly at Chancery Lane Emigration-ships. A mailing list for anyone who
wants to discuss the ships their ancestors arrived on or post passenger lists
for any ships. Discussions of the history of specific ships is also within
the scope of the list. Mailing address for postings is

Australian Sources to Identify Irish Place of Origin
History of Liverpool Clipper Ships (1850-1870) These pages contain information about emigration from Liverpool to Australia on the ships of James Baines’ Black Ball Line . They trace the period from 1850 to 1870 - the golden era for the fast Clippers to Australia . Two other pages detail some of the names of passengers and crews on two specific voyages of the “White Star” and the “Champion of the Seas” . There is also an index to some of the Passengers and Crew on the Blackwall Clipper “Lincolnshire” extracted from the on-board newspaper during its voyage from Gravesend to Melbourne in late 1866.

Western Australian Convicts 1850-1868 A partial listing of the British convicts sent to Western Australia between 1850 and 1868 including all of the convict ships that arrived in WA. The list has the convict number, Name, Alias or alternative spelling. Some have crime and sentence.
