Is there any "comprehensive" freeware offline-dictionary known. For English to German and German to English?

Instant Translator
Everest Dictionary has a facility which made it easier to use: instant translator. Using this translator, you can translate unknown words only by a single mouse click.

Some rules of instant translator:

How it works in Adobe Reader ®::

  1. It is selected "Text Select Tool"
  2. It is executed left click on a word (will have as effect the selection of the word)
  3. RightCtrl + Rightclick on that word (this command will launch instant translator)

How it works in Mozilla:

  1. Double click on a word
  2. RightCtrl + Right click on that word

Quickdic: http://www.quickdic.de/

"QuickDic is a German English Dictionary with more than 265000 words and
idioms in each language. A Windows version with lots of extra features
can be downloaded for free."

Excellent (although the name may cause chuckles.)

I used to use QuickDic. Then I found LingoPad:

I like it better.
