(1) Win98Se -IE6-Autoconnect. (Al) (a similar problem experienced by Simon) IE seeks to go online as soon as it is opened. Suggested this might be a feature of IE6, to look fo recommended updates? How to disable this. Simon has advised that each time he started IE6 for the last fortnight it insisted on trying to start off-line. As suggested at the meeting he had gone in and unticked Off-line under File but there must be a another (registry?) setting somewhere which defaults it back to "ticked" Off-line. Still need assistance to resolve. (2) a. Microsoft Office Reader. (Bill) Are freeware stand-alone readers still available for Word97 and Excel97 (& also later versions)? People thought 'Yes'.
