".... the 54th Entry of Aircraft Apprentices was formed at RAF Halton on 17th September 1946. The Entry comprised about 300 young men between 15 and a half and 17 years of age

On 5th October 1949 the Entry graduated and Passed Out at a magnificent parade. The parade began at 10.30 precisely and ended with a big bang about an hour later! "
