H takes the plunge

Have you any idea how hard it is to take "action" shots with a digital camera? I'd click, and at some apparently random later time, the camera would operate. Perhaps I should have figured out how to turn the autofocus off first.

The picture above is the result of many, many dives and quite a lot of forgery. We took the first picture (2) on our way up, and the rest a week later on our way home. In the meantime, renovations had begun at the baths, so the remaining three shots had to be taken from an entirely different angle, with a much less salubrious background.

The originals may be scrutinised from the numbered links above.

The Moree Municipal Baths and the thermal pools at the Gwydir CaraPark were blissful, as always. More stories of our recent trip may follow. I have about fifty unrepresentative photos of Dad & H not actually hitting a tennis ball, for example! smiley face

Dad and H at Tweed Heads, May 2000

As predicted, this was the last trip of its kind - more about it in Christmas letter 2000. H has moved to Melbourne and is busy singing, as she should be. I can't do the drive by myself, and a 15-hour train trip doesn't appeal. I've been to Bilinga by plane twice since, but how I miss the spas of Moree!
