Activating Your WWW Space

1. Check out http://www.pcug.org.au/~yourusername/. If you get a "PERMISSION Denied" message, then your TIP WWW area is "not active".

2. So before you can start making your web pages on TIP, you must first "Activate" it. The instructions to be found in the TIP Help pages can be daunting. This simple form requires your Username and your TIP Password. So Activate now.

Mail utilities

There are several ways to read your mail whilst away. The simplist is to Read your mail from the web browser. 

At times, you may be required to remove huge e-mails from your mailbox. This Removal facility will allow you to do it from the web.

Dot Forward

 

Use this form to create the .forward file.

Dont use it if you don't know what you are doing. More information will be provided as time permits

Username

Your Username together with your password controls your access to your part of the TIP machine. It is basically the first part of your e-mail address, so if your address is
                  frednurk@pcug.org.au
then your username is     frednurk

Username may also be called    UserID    userid   or    account
