Membership Fees

PCUG welcomes new and renewing members.

Membership renewal reminders are sent out 30, 14, and 3 days prior to each member’s membership expiry date. Warning emails are sent 7 and 14 days after the expiry date.

Reminders are sent, until a membership payment is processed.

Before going on holidays, members are asked  to ensure that their membership does not expire while they are away.

Receipts if requested are sent in the month after payment is received.

It may take up to five business days to process payments.

Internet services provided by The Internet Project (TIP) are available only to members of PCUG or the Canberra chapter of AUUG (Australian Unix Users Group).

Annual PCUG membership fees include all the benefits noted (except Internet services and training courses attracting a fee).

PCUG membership categories and fees:

Individual [I] $30 – General [G]
$25 – Concession [C]
  • For One person only.
  • Includes one PCUG email account, with up to 10 mailboxes.
  • Includes webspace.
Household [H] $45 – General [G]
$40 – Concession [C]
  • Covers all people residing in the same household and sharing some relationship.
  • Includes one PCUG email account, with up to 10 mailboxes.
  • Includes webspace.
Non-profit organisations [NP] $70
  • Renewals only please.

Definitions

Applicable to Household and Individual Membership only.

  1. The Concession Rate [C] applies to members holding one of:
    • Valid Seniors card issued by an Australian State or Territory Government
    • Commonwealth Health Care Card
    • Commonwealth Pensioner Concession Card
    • Government Transport Student Concession Card
    • DVA (“Department of Veterans’ Affairs) gold card

Please note: All PC User Group and TIP fees and charges are non-refundable. Exceptional circumstances for refunds may be considered on application to the management committee.

All TIP services are subject to policies developed by the Internet Services Sub-Committee (ISSC).
