Topic: OpenOffice.org logo
Finn Blucher from Novell, will present OpenOffice.org

Download a pdf information sheet !!
When:
Wednesday 7th November 2007
(7.00pm for a 7.30pm start)
Where: Rheinberger Centre conference room

Topic Info: Finn Blucher from Novell will present OpenOffice.org at this meeting. In particular
Finn will touch on each of the modules which make up OpenOffice.org and take us through
the look and feel of each.

OpenOffice.org is the main contender in office productivity tools coming from the open
source stable of products. Under the open source scheme it is availbe to users free of charge
and yet it asserts itself as a serious competitor to MS Office in the eseential productivity
stakes. It’s easy to change to OpenOffice.org as it has a familiar feel if you have used
competitive software and it reads all major competitors’ files.

Finn will be able to discuss any significant differences between OpenOffice.org and its competitors and also discuss any differences between the Windows and Linux versions of the product. He is aware that a large number of OpenOffice.org users at PCUG use the Linux operating system.
Presentaions:  Copies of the Presentations given at the meeting are available below. For convenience, these presentations are viewable via .odp or .pdf or .ppt formats. Please note the size of files before downloading.
