The next Main Monthly Meeting of the PC Users Group will be held on
Tuesday 10 March 2009 from 7:00pm
for a 7:30pm
start at the Grant Cameron Community Centre, 27 Mulley Street Holder.
Windows 7 will be the topic.....

Andrew Miles, Account Manager from Microsoft will demonstrate the new features in this beta version of the Windows Operating System. Microsoft says they have built Windows 7 around user feedback, The new features include:

  • Improved task bar;

  • Jump Lists;

  • Internet Explorer 8;

  • Windows Live;

  • Better device management;

  • Homegroup;

  • New ways to work with Windows.

Apart from a general overview of the new operating system, Andrew is happy to cover any specific aspects of our choice. Feel free to email your requests to mmm at pcug dot org dot au

Beta versions are distributed to enable users to test out the new code and help the manufacturers to smooth out the glitches before they release the final product. If you are testing it for yourself here is an opportunity to give your valuable feedback to Andrew. More importantly, you can benefit from Andrew’s account of how other users are re-acting to Windows 7 so far. See you there.
