MAIN MONTHLY MEETING

Medalling in Defence:
Demonstrating Database Applications which facilitate the dispatch of medals being issued
presented by Peter Barker



  • On Thursday 8 April, Peter Barker will deliver a presentation entitled Medalling in Defence.
  • The Department of Defence issues around 50,000 military awards every year, although with the issue of the new National Service award and the Australian Defence Medal since 2002, some years have seen several hundred thousand medals being issued.
  • Peter Barker will demonstrate two database applications which facilitate the despatch of the awards, leading to some significant productivity gains.
  • During the presentation, Peter will demonstrate some techniques of data processing principles and associated problems


The Main Monthly Meeting of the PC Users Group (ACT) Incorporated will be held at the Grant Cameron Community Centre Conference Room, 27 Mulley Street HOLDER ACT 2611. Doors open at 7:00 PM for a commencement at 7:30 PM.
